However, you have to choose the right place for the action because of the possible risk of accidents. Because now every guest with blindfolded (!) and a stick or stick can try to hit the piñata and make them burst.
So if you hang your piñata too close to a wall, there may be scratches or cracks later. For adult guests, especially at weddings, the piñata string is simply held by a person who stands on a chair. She, too, must expect to be accidentally hit by the stick.
The fastest catches the most sweets
As soon as it is possible to smash the piñata, the innards fall to the floor. The “thugs” may be cheered on by the other guests and lured in the right direction. All guests can now quickly collect the sweets from the floor.

adults can complicate the game by keeping the piñata higher, sometimes lower. For young children who are too weak to strike, piñatas equipped with drawstrings can be used. So the little ones do not have to hit it, but can instead reach for the ribbons and pull.
Which pinata filling is suitable for which occasion?
Traditionally, piñatas are filled with sweets and fruits, in Mexico also with tangerines, sugar cane, guavas or peanuts. You can basically fill in anything you want, but there are more or less suitable fillings for different occasions.
Birthday
For children’s birthdays, sweets and small gifts such as flummis, small stamps, kneading, hair gummies, children’s jewelry, key chains or small cuddly toys are suitable. For an adult, it may also be vouchers, scratch cards, mini cosmetics or other funny surprises for their birthday.
Wedding
In order for it to rain money on the wedding couple, the bride and groom are allowed to smash the piñata and collect the rain of money that falls out. For this purpose, coins and rolled up banknotes are filled in advance. Vouchers, greeting cards or some golden confetti or petals (the eye celebrates!) may also be included here. As a funny gag, chocolate talers are also a sweet eye-catcher.
