What Happens in Our Body, When We Have Diabetes?

Diabetes is a very common and serious problem nowadays. It is a condition or problem when the blood sugar level or glucose level is high. High glucose cells in the body cause many serious problems. Glucose is the main source of energy  in the body. Through daily food and drink, we intake glucose that has been used as an energy source.

Do you want to know how the body works and how it turns into diabetes?

When we consume food or drink, the body starts to break down sugar particles from the food and drink to use them for energy. This is due to the pancreas, which begins the synthesis of the hormone insulin. It is responsible for absorbing glucose from the bloodstream and transporting it to the cells. This is how our body is fed with energy. This is a normal mechanism of processing food and uses sugar for the body.

But when the pancreas can work properly, it causes diabetes. Imagine, if we suffer from diabetes, that means the pancreas either does not produce enough insulin or does not produce it at all. Insulin cannot be used effectively, this is also a case. Accordingly, after eating, blood sugar levels rise sharply because glucose remains in the blood without being absorbed by cells. This in turn leads to various problems in the body, affecting almost all systems. Diabetes is not just a one organ process. The effect of diabetes or high glucose level in the bloodstream causes many problems to the body from head to toe.

Types Of Diabetes

There are types of diabetes. The effects of diabetes on the body depend on the type – type 1 or type 2.

There is an immune system dysfunction in type 1 diabetes, commonly known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes. The immune system targets insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, preventing the body from making insulin. Additional insulin is required in those with type 1 diabetes. This kind of diabetes affects the majority of persons throughout their youth or teens.

In recent decades, Type 2 has become increasingly prevalent. It is mostly caused by an unfit and unhealthy lifestyle, as well as stress and persistent anxiety. A rigorous diet and frequent exercise can help manage it. If the required lifestyle adjustments are implemented, it is even possible to go into remission in certain circumstances.

Pregnant women can develop gestational diabetes. During this time, high blood sugar levels are common. In most situations, it may be managed with a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. It might go away once the baby is delivered. However, it’s worth noting that gestational diabetes might raise the risk of problems during pregnancy. It can also raise the risk of type 2 diabetes later in life for both men and women. There are many solution for diabetes but using a natural solution as sugar control juice is more important for health because it won’t harm your body.

Complication of Diabetes

Let’s talk about some of the complication of diabetes that you should know-

Diabetes patients are more likely to suffer a variety of significant consequences. Blood sugar levels that are consistently high can cause problems to the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, neurological system, and teeth. Diabetes patients are also more susceptible to infections and it is the primary cause of cardiovascular disease, blindness, renal failure, and the necessity for lower limb amputation in most developed nations. Diabetes affects the blood vessels and may cause heart strokes. Cardiovascular disease is the main common cause of death in diabetic patients. Kidney failure is another one of the causes of death. Diabetes disrupts the small blood vessels in the kidney and disturbs normal function. Some forms of eye diseases also develop in diabetes like reduced vision and even blindness

Maintaining regular blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels can help to delay or avoid the onset of these problems and to stay healthy. As a result, diabetic individuals should have frequent preventative check ups in all regions.
