Because four wheelings are a family sport, introducing your children to ATVs at a young age is always a smart idea. But when do you start? And what’s the best method to get them started with ATVs?
I understand that you want to bring your kids out on the trails to you as soon as possible. When it comes to children, though, safety must always come first. Let’s begin with your position as their parent throughout this time. For new kids ATV Search www.newbabywish.com
Your Role As Their Parent

- Teacher
Safety Instructor
Consider yourself a personal safety instructor for your youngster Newbabywish. You should strive to emphasize the necessity of wearing safety gear and riding safely. This will necessitate a lot of attention at first. However, if you persist, they will eventually pick up on the safety standards you establish on their own.
Setting safety rules for your children that they must follow each time they use an ATV is a smart idea. Later on, I’ll go over several examples that seem to have worked well for us.
Supervisor
Depending on when you introduce your children to ATVs, you will need to closely oversee their initial adventures. It’s beneficial for them to have you close in case they have any questions. They will undoubtedly appreciate having you there with them, not to mention all the ‘see what I can do!’
But, more importantly, keep an eye on how they ride. Make a mental note of anything you’d like to talk about with them later that will help them improve their riding skills.

When Should You Introduce Your Kids To ATV Riding?
It’s normally advised to wait until your child is six years old before introducing them to ATVs. If your child has advanced motor skills at the age of 4 or 5, you may be allowed to begin them earlier. Most small ATV manufacturers, however, suggest that the rider be at least 6 years old.
You could always purchase them one of those small electric ATVs rated for 3-year-olds if you want to start them younger than that. That way, you can start teaching them the fundamentals of riding and how to ride safely right away. This 12V Kids ATV Four Wheeler, which costs roughly 130 dollars, is a nice example.
Throttle Limiter
The throttle limiter on most tiny kid-sized ATVs allows you to determine the maximum speed the quad will travel. This is a smart rule to follow so that if your child gets a little throttle happy, they won’t be able to reach harmful speeds.
The throttle limiter is normally found near the throttle lever on the handlebars. A screw should protrude from the housing, with a nut securing it in place. Simply loosen the nut and set the throttle limiter screw to your preference. The entrance is entirely restricted, while the exit is unrestricted.
